I am an avid food snob and the oldest of my sisters. I was born in JHB South Africa. When I was 16 years old I moved to the United States, but I feel like Africa will always have a piece of my heart. My passions include my faith, family, friends, food, art and traveling. I come from a family of fantastic cooks and I wish to share their recipes as I create and share my own.

Due to various health concerns I started to venture toward an organic, gluten- free, and raw food  diet, also reducing sugar intake. I enjoy taking time out to smell the roses so to speak and find much joy in the beauty of nature. Quality not quantity is important to me. I hate microwaves and believe in old fashioned cooking methods. I am always thrilled to get my hands on farm fresh foods. I believe food tastes better when it is prepared with love!

I enjoy drawing as an outlet to reduce stress and it offers me a sense of accomplishment. My drawings reflect my love and passion for the beauty of South Africa. I have lost some special people in my life and I look forward to the fulfillment of the promise found at Isaiah 25:8 where death will be swallowed up forever. I live in Orange County California with my song writing husband, beautiful daughter and our two dogs Sprinkles and Daisy. A special thanks to my family and friends who love me unconditionally. You mean the world to me…

One of my favorite quotes is from Helen Keller:
“Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.”

In high school I could barely run a mile in PE class. I have now completed 3 marathons and 2 half ironman triathlons. I have learned that anything you set your mind to is possible. My active lifestyle covers a full spectrum of fitness: rock climbing, strength training, as well as swimming, cycling and running, and I love them all!

I have become very passionate about fueling my body in the most nutritious way. FOOD=FUEL; and we can’t run efficiently on processed foods and sugar.

I have always had an interest in art and design, and beautiful homes. As an interior designer I feel like the inside of where we live has a huge impact on how we feel, and should thereby be comfortable, livable, and expression of individual style.

While being the youngest in my family and only 4 years of age when immigrating to the U.S., South Africa will always be my home, where I feel connected, and a reflection of me. I am excited to share with others what my sisters and I discover and create, reflecting our appetite for life now and for the future, what we believe to be “the real life” -1 Timothy 6:19

I’ve enjoyed traveling within the USA as well as internationally in Europe, Latin America, Australia and South Africa.

Being exposed to culturally varied food has taught me that food tastes best when it is fresh, local, and in-season. Vegetables and fruits are essential; food should be naturally colorful! To me, healthy and delicious food should not exclude what some people consider the bad guys: butter, oils, red meat and full fats, but it should if possible exclude artificial ingredients and chemicals.
